PRODUCTS - CHARGING AND UTILITY

MAINS AND IN-CAR BATTERY CHARGERS

Are your USB battery chargers universal?

Our USB battery chargers are all universal; they provide basic charging to any device with a compatible connector. However, to get the best performance for your phone (like the original charger that came with your device), you have to use a battery charger designed specifically for your brand.

What’s the best way to choose the right battery chargers for my device?

We have a large selection of battery chargers designed specifically for Samsung, Apple, Huawei or other phone brands to make your choice an easy one.

What’s the difference between using a generic battery charger or one specifically designed for a brand/model?

A universal or generic battery charger, whether it is Fast Charge or not, provides basic charge performance to most phones in the market. With a basic charge, charging will be significantly slower than with a battery charger specific for your device. In fact, a battery charger specifically designed for a brand/model is guaranteed to provide the same performance as the original.

WIRELESS CHARGER

What does Qi technology mean?

Qi is a wireless charging standard developed by Qi Wireless Power Consortium.

Is a wireless battery charger universal?

Wireless charging works with Qi-compatible phones.
For more information, see the compatibility section on the Cellularline wireless battery charger web page or check your phone’s user manual.

Is wireless charging as fast as wired charging?

Whether standard or fast, Wireless charging usually takes longer than wired charging.

Is wireless charging as fast as wired charging?

Yes, wireless chargers work through phone cases.
Just make sure there’s nothing inside the case, on the surface of the device, that comes into contact with the battery charger.
In addition, to ensure stable and fast charging through thicker cases, Cellularline developed Wireless battery chargers that are twice as efficient as Qi standard minimum requirements.

Can I charge a wireless battery charger with any USB charger?

No. You need a very powerful mains battery charger.
For Wireless chargers sold without a power adapter you can:
a) use your phone’s battery charger (the one that came with your phone);
b) use a mains battery charger that meets the requirements specified on the wireless charger package.

Does wireless charging work through magnetic in-car holders?

Generally, no. There should be no metal parts between the smartphone and the Wireless charger.

PORTABLE CHARGERS

How long will it take for a Cellularline portable charger to fully charge my smartphone?

The charging time with a portable charger depends on the device you want to charge. With a smartphone on standby, it usually takes 1 to 3 hours.

How is the number of charges a portable charger can provide on a single charge determined?

The number of charges which can be performed depends on several external factors.
The type of phone, its battery size and how it is used during charging all have an impact.
For example, if you keep using your phone while it is charging (apps, music, Facebook, internet, videos, etc.), it will use more energy, take longer to charge and the portable charger will drain faster.

Why isn’t my portable charger charging my phone twice on a single charge, as stated?

It depends on the device and whether it is being used or on standby.

Are Cellularline portable chargers universal?

Yes. They can charge any device via their USB port. For charging performance details, see the package information or visit the web page for each individual portable charger.

What can I use to recharge a portable charger?

You can use the USB port on your computer, your phone’s USB charger or a Cellularline USB charger.

How do I know the portable charger is fully charged?

There are usually 4 led lights to indicate the charge level, depending on the model.

USB CABLES

Which cable should I buy to make sure the charging performance is suitable for my device?

To get the correct performance for your device, make sure:
  • It has the right connector for your device;
  • The cable section is sufficient to carry the necessary current for fast charging;
  • The cable allows data communication, which is needed to activate Samsung Adaptive charging, Power Delivery charging, Qualcomm Quick Charge and Huawei Fast Charge.

With Cellularline the choice is easy because our cables are all compatible with the most advanced charging standards.

Which cable should I buy to make sure the charging performance is suitable for my Apple iPhone or iPad?

For iPhones, iPads and devices with Apple Lightning charging port, you need to use Made for iPhone and/or Made for iPad certified cables.
The certification is issued by Apple and guarantees that the cable is made from original components and offers the best possible performance.

What happens if I don’t use a Made for iPhone and/or Made for iPad certified cable for an Apple device?

An Apple device can identify if the cable you’re using is certified or not. If an uncertified USB cable is identified, the device might disable the connection with the cable.

IN-CAR HOLDERS

Why is the holder coming off right away?

Try finding a flat point on the glass (not curved).

PRODUCTS – VOICE & MUSIC

BLUETOOTH EARPHONES / BLUETOOTH SPEAKERS / BLUETOOTH HEADPHONES

I bought a Bluetooth product but my phone is not detecting the device when I launch the search. Why?

Pairing mode has to be turned on otherwise you won’t be able to connect the device. We suggest you repeat the pairing procedure according to the instructions in the manual.

I have a new phone and it isn’t detecting the device. Why?

We suggest you follow the instructions in the manual to pair the two devices.
In particular, you need to make sure:
- you turn off/disable the Bluetooth on your old phone;
- disable the Bluetooth on your new phone and re-enable it only after you set it to “pairing” mode

I bought a Bluetooth device, paired it with my phone and can answer calls, but I can’t hear the person calling and they can’t hear me. Why?

If you can’t hear the person calling, make sure the “earphone” audio output is set on your phone.
If the issue persists, visit the retailer where you purchased your product, or reach out to our Customer Care by accessing the following Contact Form if you made your purchase on www.cellularline.com

The audio volume on my Bluetooth device is low. What should I do?

First, make sure you increased the volume on both your phone and Bluetooth device. If the volume on the product is set to the maximum level and you still can barely hear the person on the other end, your earphone could be defective and therefore qualify for coverage under the warranty.

The person on the other end can barely hear my voice. Can I increase the volume?

Volume settings are standard and cannot be adjusted. We suggest blowing inside the microphone hole to remove any dust build-up that could be obstructing it.

I checked the instructions to find out what the maximum range was for my Bluetooth device. How come I’m noticing a much shorter range? Why am I losing the connection even though I’m closer to my phone than the specified range?

The operation range refers to connection with no obstructions between the Bluetooth device and smartphone. Barriers (walls, objects, glass, etc.), but also keeping the phone in your pocket, can affect the maximum range as well as the stability of the signal.

PRODUCTS – PROTECTION AND STYLE

PROTECTION FOR YOUR DISPLAY

How do I attach the protective film without getting air bubbles? How do I apply the Second Glass?

Follow our step-by-step video tutorials on our YouTube channel: www.youtube.com/cellularlineofficial

Why are bubbles trapped under the film?

Dust and/or dirt on the screen cause air bubbles to form. If the screen is cleaned according to the instructions, air bubbles can be easily removed by wiping them with the microfibre cloth.
If the air bubbles were caused by dust or dirt, they will be impossible to remove, as specified in the instructions.

I bought a Second Glass for my smartphone/iPhone but it is narrower that the display. Why is that?

Many smartphones have a radial screen. This means it is curved from the edge of the display to the edge of the phone.
The curvature can vary by a few tenths of a millimetre from phone to phone, creating a different effect and keeping the tempered glass protector from adhering perfectly to the surface of the screen, so it lifts.
After a brief period, dust gets trapped inside the space between the two surfaces and causes the product to detach completely from the screen, becoming useless. For this reason, Cellularline has chosen to reduce the size of its tempered glass protectors to ensure correct and durable use on all smartphones/iPhones currently on the market.

I bought a Second Glass Capsule/Shape and noticed a halo in the centre of the screen. Why is that?

This halo is usually visible when the display is off and does not affect operation and, most importantly, the product’s ability to protect the screen. Actually, the effect is caused by a special treatment that ensures optimum screen resolution and perfect touch screen sensitivity.
